CA Family at Malacca - One Day Trip

We are celebrating our great Raya Holiday (1st Oct 2008) with whole family visit Historical Town, Malacca. This trip Bebe 4th brother (Keong) arranged to fetch us and my mother in-law together in his car. We started our journey after having a breakfast all together with Bebe 3rd brother (Hoe) family, eldest sister (Choo) family and 2nd sister (Fong).

Cheng Hoon Teng’s Temple is our first arriving places when we reach at Malacca town around 12noon. This is Malaysia’s oldest traditional Chinese temple where underscored by an UNESCO award for outstanding architectural restoration. The temple ranks among the most significant in Southeast Asia, being central to the spiritual aspirations of the Chinese community in historic Malacca.


After few captured, we continue to our journey by keep on walk among the street from Jalan Tokong to Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Street). On the street, we are found some great snack is Pineapple Tar where have two taste. The famous taste is Original and new improved is Pandan. Here is outside view of pineapple tar shop and one of the antiques Shop at Jonker Street.

I’m feel hungry and would like to eat the most famous food on the street Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls where located next to old Chung Kiaw Bank at Jonker Street but sadly too many visitor and cause all visitor queue from the shop until the roadside. So I change my lunch menu from Chicken Rice Balls to another famous Hainanese Pork Satay where located on the middle of Jonker Street but sadly to know the situation was same as the famous chicken rice. Finally we decided to change again our menu to Nyonya Food where can having the famous Chicken Pongteh, Geram Assam and Noyonya Rojak. Here is there famous dished ….

Wow!! After the great menus of Nyonya Food, we are continues our journey towards the Heart of Historical Town…. A Formosa, St Paul’s Church, Christ Church, The Stadthuys, & Maritime Museum …..
